Israeli Offensive in Homs
Social media accounts close to the Syrian government claimed that Israeli warplanes carried out an attack on the Shuayerat Military Airport in Homs. In these posts, “One child was martyred and 10 civilians were injured in the attack. Material damage occurred.”statements were included.
Although Israeli authorities have not yet made an official statement regarding the attack, the presence of the Syrian army, Iranian-backed militia groups and Lebanese Hezbollah elements in the region is striking. In particular, since the beginning of the civil war in Syria in 2011, Israel has carried out various airstrikes against Iranian-backed groups and Syrian army military targets.
