Retired Simsek’s Ford Mustang Dream
Retired Sebahattin Şimşek managed to make his 34-year-old car, which he bought 6 years ago, look like a 1964 Ford Mustang with a comprehensive transformation he carried out 2 years ago. Şimşek, who transformed his car worth approximately 200 thousand liras into a Mustang worth over 2 million with original parts he obtained from various provinces of Turkey and Belgium for this transformation, stated that he spent approximately 400 thousand liras in this process.
Şimşek explained his motivation for carrying out this project as follows: “My passion for old cars, especially the Ford Mustang group, has always been my dream car. “We turned my 1990 Ford Taunus into a Ford Mustang with parts I bought from Izmit, Adana, Istanbul and Belgium.”
Interesting Transformation
Şimşek stated that his car attracted great attention and emphasized that his car attracted attention especially in coastal areas such as Antalya, Bodrum and Fethiye. “I spent 400 thousand liras 2 years ago. If you ask, ‘Was it worth the expense?’, it definitely was. I love this car and I enjoy using it. “We made this change in accordance with the traffic and road rules.”said.

Şimşek stated that those who saw his car were amazed and frequently took photos of him. “Some people ask, ‘What model is the Mustang?’ No one can guess that it is a Ford Taunus. A young couple in Fethiye said, ‘Can you give us the car for an hour?’ “We all drove around for an hour.”He also gave information that his vehicle was also featured in a music video shot in Burdur.
He Did Not Give Up Despite Offers
While Şimşek was on his way to Antalya, a citizen stopped him and said, “How many models of Mustang?”and he asked himself “1964 model”when you say “Very wonderful, very beautiful” He stated that he got the answer. He said that the car he got in was a Mercedes and made a joke “Will you change?”He reported what he said.
Finally, he added that he was offered 600 thousand liras to sell his car, but he did not accept this offer.
