Statement from Ziraat Bank
Ziraat Bank stated that there have been negative comments about the Bank’s financial situation in some press and social media platforms in recent days. In this context, it felt necessary to respond to the lawsuit that the Bank was incurring losses.
Response to ‘Damage’ Claims
The bank emphasized that it continues its activities with strong and healthy financial indicators and that its financial statements are regularly disclosed to the public. The following statements were included in the statement:
“As can be understood from our published financial statements; there is no loss arising from the activities of our Bank. On the contrary, we are among the banks that make profits at levels that are in line with the norms of the sector. In addition , our Bank, which operates as a joint-stock company, allocates a portion of its budget to promotion and advertising activities, like every commercial organization. Especially in today’s world where there is intense competition in the banking sector, our Bank continues various advertising activities. with other public and private banks in order to promote its products and services.”
The statement continued by emphasizing that Ziraat Bank, which has a history of over 160 years and has made significant contributions to the growth and development of the Turkish economy, will continue its activities with this determination.
