Condemnation Statement from Jordanian Foreign Ministry
The Jordanian Foreign Ministry has condemned in the strongest terms the assassination by Israel of Hamas Political Bureau Chairman Ismail Haniyeh, describing the assassination as a clear violation of international law and an escalatory action that could lead to increased tension and chaos in the region.
Jordan stressed its determination to defend state sovereignty and international law, rejecting political assassinations, violence and terrorism, and called on the international community to take the necessary steps to end Israel’s attacks on Gaza.
The statement also expressed its condolences to the Palestinian administration and people, especially Haniyye’s family, for the attack on Ismail Haniyye.
