Energy Market Regulatory Authority Report: Petroleum Sector Analysis in May
According to the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK) report for May, Turkey’s oil import details are as follows:
- Crude Oil Imports:Crude oil imports, which constitute the largest share in Turkey’s total oil imports, increased by 16.2% compared to the previous year and amounted to 2 million 860 thousand 972 tons.
- Import of Diesel Types:During this period, imports of diesel types decreased by 7.3% to 1 million 194 thousand 728 tons.
- Other Imports:Aviation and marine fuels, gasoline and fuel-oil types and other products also constituted a part of total imports.
Total sales of petroleum products decreased by 7.6% compared to the same period last year and were recorded as 2 million 737 thousand 90 tons.
Increase in Petroleum Products Exports:
According to the EMRA report, Turkey’s petroleum product exports increased by 56.5% in May. Export details are as follows:

Total refinery petroleum product production increased by approximately 17.3% to 3 million 297 thousand 258 tons. During this period, diesel type production increased by 1.2%, while gasoline type production increased by 12.1%.
