Having lost his life while serving in the Spring Shield Operation region in Syria, 33-year-old Staff Sergeant Hüseyin Karakoç passed away due to a heart attack. Karakoç’s body was brought to his hometown, the Hacılar town of Kırıkkale. During the funeral ceremony, Karakoç’s wife Gülsüma, mother Zeynep, father Hacı, sisters Fatoş and Mehtap and children Sıraç Batu (4) and Kerem Asrın Karakoç (7) burst into tears at the coffin wrapped in the Turkish flag.
Following the funeral prayer following the afternoon prayer, Karakoç was sent off to eternity with prayers in the family cemetery. Governor Mehmet Makas offered his condolences to the grieving family and wished them patience. The ceremony was attended by Garrison and Ammunition Commander Brigadier General Mehmet Ali Durmuş, AK Party MP Mustafa Kaplan, Kırıkkale Deputy Mayor Recep Sefer, Hacılar Mayor Osman Erdoğan, Provincial Police Chief Mustafa Emre Başbuğ, Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Senior Colonel Barış Cücen and many citizens.
