Lugano, who will be visiting Fenerbahçe tomorrow, completed their preparations before the UEFA Champions League 2nd qualifying round second leg match. The team’s coach Jose Mourinho and football player Bright Osayi-Samuel made statements at the press conference after training.
Jose Mourinho’s Statements
- Mourinho:“Every match, tournament and season is new. I don’t look at what I did in the past. I have around 150 matches in Europe but I see tomorrow’s match as my first.”
- Mourinho:“The solution is to work, there is nothing else that can be done. We have had a total of 35 training sessions so far, but this number varies for some players. We are preparing well as a whole team.”
- Mourinho:“He didn’t play in the first game because he was injured, not as a precaution. He’s not in the best shape right now either. He wasn’t training in Saudi Arabia, he joined us from the holiday. He’s still doing before -season training.”
- Mourinho:“I am very happy with what the club did during the transfer period. Our president, our sporting director, Acun… I could say that some transfers were delayed because it was difficult for me, but that’s the nature of the job.”
- Mourinho:“I’ve played six knockout matches in my career? I didn’t know that. I always remember being in the group stages.”
Bright Osayi-Samuel’s Statements
- Osayi-Samuel:“Everyone on the team gets along very well. We want to reflect that closeness on the field and make a difference.”
- Osayi-Samuel:“My job is to play both defense and attack. I am learning new things from our new coach.”
- Osayi-Samuel:“Mourinho is a scary but also a nice person. He wants to learn about the players’ past and instills confidence in them.”
