Minister Yumaklı: New Era Livestock Support Will Feel Its Reflection
Minister Yumaklı stated that Koç is one of the operators that will feel the most significant reflection of the “new era animal husbandry” supports. Yumaklı emphasized that global factors such as climate change require countries to become strong in every field. He said that studies on animal production have started within the scope of production planning and will be implemented as of 2024.
Basic Support and Product Development Support All in One
Minister Yumaklı announced that they combined the supports that were previously allocated to different areas by bringing together the supports to be provided under the titles of “Basic Supports” and “Product Development Support”. These supports cover areas such as cattle breeding, sheep breeding, beekeeping and silkworm breeding. He stated that producers will be able to receive more support if they meet the productivity criteria.
Increased Support for Youth and Women
Yumaklı stated that with these supports, young people and women will be more involved in the production process and will be able to receive nearly 4 times the support compared to previous supports. Emphasizing that productivity criteria are important in the sector, the Minister stated that steps were taken in this direction in animal production.
Special Support for Family Businesses
Yumaklı stated that businesses that qualify to be a free enterprise will receive additional support, and that family businesses will also benefit from the support and thus the continuity of production will be ensured. He stated that the production planning will be implemented in 2024 for the production of plant, animal and aquatic products.
