He described the helicopters’ rapid and effective rescue of people stranded in the flooded area as “incredible.” Who stressed that protecting people’s lives and property was a priority and instructed state organs to provide the necessary support to the victims.

Kim Jong-Un stated that he had previously emphasized the precautions that needed to be taken against disasters, and that precautions were not taken in advance due to the irresponsibility of the authorities. Kim stated that “the laziness and self-interest of the officials in important positions have reached serious levels” and that urgent measures were needed to be taken.
