Trump Criticizes Harris
Criticizing US Vice President Kamala Harris’s words after her meeting with Netanyahu, Trump stated that Harris was disrespectful towards Israel, saying, “I don’t know how a Jew could vote for her (Harris).” Emphasizing that he is one of Israel’s most important friends, Trump criticized the Biden administration.
Trump’s “World War III” Comment
Claiming that if he loses the election, major wars could continue in the Middle East and perhaps World War III could occur, Trump made statements such as, “Our country is run by incompetent people.”
Netanyahu’s Ceasefire Statement
Netanyahu stated that they were hopeful about whether a ceasefire in Gaza was imminent, saying, “We would like to see it happen and we are working on it.” He also stated that he expected an Israeli delegation to join the negotiations to be held in Rome at the beginning of the week.
Talks Between Israel and the US
US President Biden and Vice President Harris conveyed their views to Netanyahu on the need for a ceasefire in Gaza as soon as possible. It is known that there were disagreements between them during the signing of the Abraham Accords during Trump’s outlook in 2020.
