Different Claims from Istanbul Dealers in the Second Hand Vehicle Market
Despite claims that the second-hand car market has been in decline recently, dealers in Istanbul are against this situation. Some dealers state that their sales are going well and that vehicles quickly find buyers when sold at market value.
Mehmet Şahin and Nihat Dindar, who own a car dealership in Ataşehir, shared that they sell an average of 7 vehicles per week. Şahin emphasized that vehicles are sold when priced correctly, and said, ” If you sell the vehicle at market value, you will find a buyer” said.
No Contraction in the Sector
According to Mehmet Şahin, the claims circulating on social media do not reflect the truth, ” There is no such thing as shrinkage or closure in the sector. We sell at least 2 vehicles a day and today we sold 4 vehicles. The claim that notary is not visited is also untrue.” he said.
Nihat Dindar said, There was a period when prices were very high and this had a negative impact on the sector. There were explosions when irrelevant people tried to become dealers. But those who love selling vehicles continue their work” he added.
