Palestinian Presidential Spokesperson Nabil Abu Redine said that the US administration and Congress should pressure Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to stop the war in Gaza. Abu Redine said in a written statement, “It is time for the US administration and Congress to tell Netanyahu that he must stop the war immediately.”
Abu Redine emphasized that if the Washington administration wants real peace and stability, it should oppose the war, saying, “If the Washington administration really wants peace and stability in the region, it will make this call to Netanyahu instead of misleading the world that opposes “the war.”
Pointing to the increasing loss of life in the attacks of the occupying Israeli army on Gaza, Abu Redine said, “In addition to the genocidal war in the Gaza Strip, the murders, detentions and infrastructure destruction operations in the camps in the West Bank cities of Jenin, Nablus and Tulkarim will not bring security or peace to anyone, but will only cause further tension. If the world and the region want peace and security, the Netanyahu government must stop its attacks on the Palestinian people. “must stop this war so that the opportunity that is about to disappear is not missed.”
Abu Redine stated that no plan would yield results unless there was a comprehensive ceasefire in the occupied Palestinian territories, and that the US administration was also responsible for the crimes committed against the Palestinian people through its support for Israel. Abu Redine stated that Washington must now force Tel Aviv to stop its attacks and crimes against the Palestinian people, and drew attention to the importance of this situation.
