Highlights of the Turkish Football Federation Meeting
The boards, chaired by the President of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu, held an important meeting in Riva today. The decisions taken at the meeting to find solutions to some problems in Turkish football are as follows:
Changes in the Central Arbitration Board
At the meeting, it was decided that Ferhat Gündoğdu would be appointed as the chairman of the Central Referee Board. With this change, a new era began in referee appointments.
Change of Duty in the National Team
It was decided that National Team Technical Director Vincenzo Montella would continue his duty. However, Ceyhun Kazancı was brought in to replace Hamit Altıntop as National Team Manager. This change, which was made after Hamit Altıntop’s previous statements, was remarkable.
Foreigner Rule Change in Super League
The ’12 foreign players’ rule, which was put into practice during the Mehmet Büyükekşi era, has been abolished by the new administration. Accordingly, Super League teams will be able to have 14 foreign players in their match squads in the new season.
