A group gathered in Saraçhane Park in Fatih to protest Israel’s attacks on Palestine. Platform members gathered in the square with banners and signs in their hands to show their support for Palestine.
Prayer and Prayer Times
The crowd performed the evening prayer on prayer rugs they spread in the square. Then they came together and recited the Qunut prayer. The group, who prayed for the help of the oppressed in Palestine, emphasized their unity and solidarity.
Statements and Calls
Speaking on behalf of the platform, Kubilay Aşkın Durdağ stated that they stand by the oppressed and try to make their voices heard against the oppression in Palestine. Durdağ asked the participants not to break their upright stance and not to interrupt their prayers. He called on them to “continue your actions with the consciousness of worship, stand by the oppressed.”
Afterwards the dispersion
After the prayers, the platform members left Saraçhane Park. The protest event, which took place in unity and solidarity, was remembered as a platform where messages of support for Palestine rose.
