Discovery
Ülker included the following statements in his article:
I did an art tour in Sultangazi. Look what I discovered. I toured Ahmet Güneştekin’s magnificent workshop and discovered many original works of art made with his own hands, diligently, from ceramics to wood and mixed techniques, and a magnificent collection of doors that are who knows how many centuries old. These historical doors of Anatolia, which are no longer accessible, have come to life with the artist’s interpretation and tell us the legends of Anatolia.
Ahmet Güneştekin is preparing for a new exhibition. The exhibition, which can be seen in Istanbul starting in January 2025, consists of works that are the result of the blending of doors, the centuries-old heritage of Anatolian cultures, with our legends, as well as large-scale works and installations about our collective memory, examples of which we have seen in previous exhibitions. I was extremely impressed by what I saw and what was said. I will be eagerly awaiting this exhibition, which will take over Feshane. As you know, Ahmet’s Venice project alone will be an enviable success. Palazzo Gradenigo Güneştekin Art Refinery Venice will open in 2026. As a friend, I am proud.
