The residents of Alakır Village, who earn their living from agriculture and animal husbandry, took the problems regarding the delimitation of the pasture area with Arı Village, which is affiliated to the Bulanık district of Muş, to court. In the case filed by the Alakır Village Headmanship at the Ahlat Civil Court of First Instance, on-site inspections were carried out and witnesses were heard. Following the legal struggle, the court made a final decision in favor of Alakır Village.

Alakır Village expanded its pasture area by incorporating 1,270 acres of land from Arı village and expanded the border of Ahlat district. With this decision, Bitlis provincial border changed and while territorial integrity increased, Muş’s territorial integrity decreased. This border dispute experienced by the residents of Alakır village was concluded with a court decision.
