A historic event took place in the US Major League Soccer (MLS), a league preferred by important stars who are playing in the final stages of their careers in Europe. Home to experienced players such as Messi, Luis Suarez and Jordi Alba, the young talent Cavan Sullivan made history in MLS.
Sullivan, who plays for Philadelphia and was born on September 28, 2009, entered the game in the 85th minute of his team’s 5-1 win over New England. With this performance, he became the youngest player in MLS history to play in the game.
Sullivan, who has played in 11 matches so far, including the lower league, scored 2 goals and made 1 assist. The young talent, who entered the field at the age of 14 years and 293 days, took over this record from Freddy Adu, who previously played for Çaykur Rizespor and entered the field at the age of 14 years and 306 days.
