European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) New Car Sales Data
The European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) has announced new car registration data for EU countries for June. According to the data, new car sales in EU countries increased by 4.3% last month compared to the same month in 2023, reaching 1,089,925 units. The distribution of these sales by fuel type is as follows:
- Gasoline:34.4%
- Hybrid:29.5%
- Electric:14.4%
- Diesel:12.7%
- Plug-In Hybrid:6.1%
- Other Fuel Types:2.9%
Electric car sales fell by 1% in June compared to the same period last year, falling to 156,408 units. The changes in new car sales by country in June are as follows:
- Italy:15.1% increase
- Germany:6.1% increase
- Spain:2.2% increase
- France:4.8% drop
Total new car sales increased by 4.5% year-on-year to 5,683,843 units in the January-June period. The following groups sold the most new cars in the EU in June:
