With the decision taken to support domestic production in Turkey, an additional 40 percent tax was imposed on vehicles imported from China. The aim of this step is to reduce Turkey’s current deficit and encourage domestic production.

Reactions by Age Groups:
- 70.2% of those aged 35-54 oppose the tax, while 29.8% support it.
- 69% of those aged 55 and over oppose the tax, while 31% support it.
- 62.1% of those aged 18-34 oppose the tax, while 37.9% support it.
The group most opposed to the 40 percent additional tax on Chinese cars is women and individuals between the ages of 35 and 54. On the other hand, some young people also support this tax application.
