President Erdoğan stated that he attended the NATO Leaders Summit and that Turkey’s important role in NATO was confirmed. Expressing that they conveyed their expectations from allies on defense industry and the fight against terrorism, Erdoğan said that Turkey did not receive the support it expected and that some negative situations were encountered.
Normalization Steps in Foreign Policy
Erdoğan stated that normalization steps in foreign policy are more than a preference for Turkey, a necessity. Hoping that the disputes will be resolved at the negotiation table and through mutual dialogue, Erdoğan drew attention to the ongoing search for balance in the global system.
The Palestinian Issue and Israel’s Attitude
Erdoğan, who reacted strongly to Israel’s massacre and occupation policies in Gaza and other Palestinian territories, emphasized the heroic resistance of the Palestinian people. Stating that Turkey would continue its clear stance against Israel’s attitude, Erdoğan reiterated his support for Palestine.
Economic Situation and Fighting Inflation
President Erdoğan made statements regarding the economic situation and inflation. Stating that inflation has started to fall and that there are positive developments in the economy, Erdoğan stated that they are making efforts to reduce inflation to targeted levels. He emphasized that Turkey will come to better economic places.
Muharram Fast Breaking Meal Program
President Erdoğan attended the Mah-ı Muharrem Fast Breaking Lokması program held at the Presidential Complex. Erdoğan gave important messages at the program, which was also attended by Alevi-Bektashi opinion leaders, and remembered the martyrs of Karbala with mercy and emphasized the importance of unity and solidarity.
