Malnutrition Problem Grows in Gaza Strip

A Palestinian doctor described the difficulties in the Gaza Strip, saying that humanitarian conditions were deteriorating and most hospitals were out of service.

The doctor stated that the problem of malnutrition has spread to a great extent in the Gaza Strip and that this problem is very serious especially for children. He stated that the people cannot buy the necessary food due to the occupying Israeli blockade, food shortages and high prices.

The doctor, who noted that many Palestinians taking shelter in the hospital were suffering from malnutrition, said that cases of acute malnutrition were increasing, especially among children under the age of 5. He said that deaths due to malnutrition were particularly concentrated in the northern regions. .

The doctor stated that the support provided by international organizations against malnutrition is insufficient and that there are difficulties in solving the problem due to the lack of complementary treatments.
