According to a written statement made on the official Telegram account of the Gaza Civil Defense Directorate, it was announced that firefighter Bilal Ramazan Ferhan, who was seriously injured in the Mevasi attack, was martyred. With this tragic incident, the number of civil defense workers martyred in the Mevasi attack increased to 3, while the number of those martyred since the beginning of the war was recorded as 79.
The Civil Defense had previously announced in a statement that two of its employees were martyred in the Mawasi attack. At least 90 people were martyred and 300 were injured in the Israeli army’s attack on the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis, a previously declared “safe zone” where displaced Palestinians from the Gaza Strip were taking refugee, on July 13.
