The Mint’s quarter gold production in the first half of 2021 was as follows:

While the highest production occurred in April, total production increased by 3.6% compared to the previous year.
The production quantities of other gold jewelry products are as follows:
- Half Gold: 1,615,585 pieces
- Full Gold: 1,565,802 units
- Two and a Half Gold: 135,966 pieces
- Five Gold: 899 pieces
While the total number of gold ornaments reached 14,731,962 in the first half, this figure was realized as 24,434,311 by the end of 2023.
“An average of 300-400 kilograms of Republic gold is produced daily”
Mehmet Hekim, Deputy General Manager of the Mint and Stamp Printing House, drew attention to the variability in quarterly gold production and stated that production quantities are shaped according to demand.
“The date change for Republic gold jewelry is made at the beginning of the Gregorian calendar year, while for Republic gold coins, it is made every year on Republic Day. The new dated gold coins that are put into use on these dates are in high demand.”
The aim is to put the new production plant of the Mint in Kartal into operation by the end of August. In this way, it is planned to respond to the increase in demand.
“KMTS aims to be put into operation by the end of August”
The physician reported that 10 types of Republic gold with different characteristics were produced at the Mint and that gram gold production could be done at authorized refineries. He stated that production data would be monitored with the Precious Metals Tracking System (KMTS).
“KMTS aims to be put into operation by the end of August. With this system, refineries’ permit processes will be monitored and activities will be under control.”
