Macron: “Double Standards Are Applied on Gaza”

French President Emmanuel Macron responded to criticism that the West was behaving with double standards on the Gaza issue during a press conference at the NATO Summit. “Some people complain that we are less interested in Gaza than in Ukraine, and this criticism deeply harms us. We need to show that this is unfounded,” Macron said.

Macron: “Immediate Ceasefire Necessary for Gaza”

Stating that a ceasefire must be urgently established in Gaza and the prisoners must be released, Macron emphasized the need to “reduce tensions to prevent the war from spreading to Lebanon.”

Macron: “NATO’S POWER IS GROWING”

Macron:

Macron said NATO continues to play an important role in the security of the Euro-Atlantic region, adding, “The alliance has become stronger. For the first time, 32 (countries) have come together.”

Macron: “Support for Ukraine Will Continue”

Macron noted that more than 2,000 French soldiers were taking part in NATO’s military operations and that their support for Ukraine would continue. He also stressed that Russia should not win the war.

Macron: Orban’s Travels Are Legitimate

Regarding Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s trips to Moscow and Beijing, Macron said, “As someone who is committed to the sovereignty and diplomatic independence of states, I think it is completely legitimate for a head of government to go to a country of his choice.”

Macron: “We Evaluated Diplomatic Efforts with Erdoğan”

Macron:

In his assessment of his bilateral meeting with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the NATO Summit, Macron stated that they discussed the diplomatic efforts of the international community to ensure a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.
