UN Post on Gaza Food Crisis
The UN’s official X account shared a post drawing attention to the serious food crisis in occupied Gaza. It was stated that approximately half a million Gazans are facing hunger, and it was emphasized that families are often unable to receive the food they need.
The post stated that the UN World Food Programme (WFP) continues its activities in the field and that there is a need for more reliable access to food and assistance in Gaza. In addition, a video providing information about the food crisis in Gaza was shared.

The video emphasized that the people of Gaza are constantly displaced due to attacks and are struggling with hunger and fear. It was stated that the collapse of the health system, inadequate shelters and various restrictions make life difficult.
WFP’s regional director Amjad Ayesh said the WFP had delivered more than 120,000 tons of food to Gaza and increased the number of kitchens. However, he noted that this aid was not enough to meet the needs of all Gazans.
The video drew attention to the crisis in Gaza by calling for a ceasefire and humanitarian aid.
