According to a statement made on the official Telegram account of Hamas, information was given about the ongoing indirect negotiations with the occupying Israel. It was stated that so far, no progress has been reported from the mediators on the ceasefire and prisoner exchange issues.
The statement said that Israel was pursuing a “procrastination” policy in order to drag this round of negotiations into failure, as it did in previous rounds. However, it was emphasized that the Palestinian people and the resistance forces would oppose this tactic and would not be a part of the game.
In a statement made by the Israeli Prime Ministry Press Office, it was announced that the Israeli delegation returning from Qatar within the scope of prisoner exchange negotiations will go to Egypt this evening.
Last week, there were encouraging developments in the ceasefire negotiations between Hamas and Israel, with the Hamas delegation announcing that it had submitted its response to the draft ceasefire on the table through mediators.
Israeli security authorities stated that “this is the first time they have come this close” to an agreement with Hamas, while Mossad sources stated that “there is a golden opportunity for a prisoner swap agreement.”
