According to reports in the national press, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar made important statements about his country’s participation in BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) in his speech at the Malaysian Parliament.

Enver stated that Malaysia is in the process of joining BRICS as a “partner country.” Enver stated that they can take this step thanks to their strong relations with member countries, and that the application process may take time.

Emphasizing that Malaysia’s participation in BRICS is in line with the country’s foreign policies, Enver stated that he believes this step will strengthen economic resilience by increasing trade and exports.

Enver pointed out that economic power is no longer in the hands of the United States alone and that the total population of the BRICS has reached 3.54 billion, representing 45 percent of the world’s population.
