  • The injured American citizen is receiving aid from the US Embassy in Jerusalem.
  • The statement did not give the name of the injured person or details about his condition.
  • The US State Department has warned US citizens in Israel and the West Bank to exercise caution.

While Israel has been continuing its attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, it is also facing Lebanese Hezbollah on its northern border. Tensions have been rising recently along the border between the two countries, known as the “Blue Line.” On July 3, the Israeli army killed Hezbollah’s senior field commander, Mohammed Nime Nasser, in an attack on the southern Lebanese city of Tyre.

In response to this attack, Hezbollah fired 20 UAVs and approximately 200 rockets into northern Israel on July 4.
