The Infantry Sergeant Mehmet Ali Horoz Water Well, opened in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with the support of philanthropists upon the will of the Federation of Associations That Value Humanity (IDDEF), provides clean water to thousands of people.
In the video he shot 3 days before his martyrdom, Infantry Chief Warrant Officer Mehmet Ali Horoz made the following request: “If I become a martyr, I request that you open a water well in an African country.” His wish came true. In the opening ceremony of the water well opened in the Chanika region, a funeral prayer was performed in absentia for our martyr and the recited Quran was presented to the souls of all martyrs.
In a statement made by IDDEF, it was said, “We took action upon the will of our martyr Mehmet Ali Horoz and completed the work of opening a water well in the Chanika village of Tanzania. The water well with an electric fountain and a tank has started to provide service in the region where the need for clean water is high. Thousands of people will benefit from the Infantry Staff Sergeant Mehmet Ali Horoz Water Well every day.”
IDDEF officials thanked all donors for their support and conveyed the message, “We will continue to keep the name of our martyrs alive in Africa.”
