Two commercial vehicles that have been parked for years in Arnavutköy Islambey Neighborhood have become a nightmare for citizens. The abandoned vehicles next to the children’s playground are disturbing the peace of the neighborhood residents. It is reported that inappropriate behavior is exhibited in the vehicles in the evening hours. Neighborhood residents want the authorities to intervene in this situation.
Suat Sarsıcı, who has been living in this neighborhood for six years, says the following about the issue: “There used to be a police station here, after the police station moved, they towed these vehicles here and abandoned them. We don’t know who the owner is, the windows are broken. Especially at night, people whose identities are unknown come, we don’t know what they do. Those who come out come out shaking, not properly. A window fell on a child the other day, the child was injured and his treatment in the hospital continues. We think the owner is a woman, she came and took photos at one point but nothing happened, it is still here.”
It is noteworthy that there are children’s playgrounds and sports areas for young people to spend time on the street where the vehicles are parked. This situation sadly reveals that abandoned vehicles endanger the safety of children.
