Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu Congratulates President Biden and Briefs Him on Prisoner Exchange

According to a written statement by the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated US President Joe Biden on “July 4 Independence Day.” During the meeting, Netanyahu also informed Biden about the decision to send a delegation from Israel to indirect negotiations for a prisoner swap between Tel Aviv and Hamas.

During the meeting, Netanyahu gave the message that the occupying Israel would continue its attacks in Gaza and stated that the attacks would continue “until their goals are achieved.”

The occupying Israeli Foreign Intelligence Service Mossad announced in a written statement yesterday that the parties mediating the prisoner swap negotiations conveyed Hamas’ response to the ceasefire offer to the Israeli negotiating team.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant reported that the Tel Aviv administration was “closer than ever” to a prisoner swap agreement with Palestinian groups in the Gaza Strip during a meeting with relatives of prisoners.

Netanyahu is expected to convene his Security Cabinet today to consider Hamas’ response. According to Israeli media reports, Netanyahu has decided to send a delegation from Israel to reach a prisoner swap agreement between Tel Aviv and Hamas.
