In a written statement made by the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was announced that the US has taken a decision to impose sanctions against human rights violations and adventurous actions in the region. This decision is being implemented within the scope of the law approved by the Iranian Parliament in 2017.
The statement said that the sanctions decision was taken because the US authorities tried to suppress the peaceful protests organized by university students and professors in the US in support of the Palestinian people against Israel’s massacres in Gaza and were involved in human rights violations.
It was emphasized that the sanctions decision included visa bans, confiscation of goods and financial assets in Iran and freezing of bank accounts.
It was also announced that 11 high-level American security officials working in various states in the USA were included in the sanctions list.
