The Palestinian Presidency said in a statement that Israel rejected the introduction of foreign forces into the occupied and blockaded territories in the Gaza Strip. The statement emphasized that the fate of the Palestinian people will be determined solely by their own will.
Palestinian Presidential Spokesperson and Minister of Information Nabil Abu Rudeyne stated that the settlement policies implemented by Israel have no legitimacy. Abu Rudeyne stated that they will not allow foreign presence in Palestinian lands and that the only legitimate representative of the Palestinian people is the Palestine Liberation Organization.
Abu Rudeineh criticized Israel’s plans to expand illegal settlements in the West Bank, saying that these plans were part of a comprehensive war against the Palestinian people. He stressed that they absolutely rejected any attempt to deport the Palestinian people.
Emphasizing that peace will only come through the leadership of Palestine, Jerusalem and the Liberation Organization, Abu Rudeyne noted that the Palestinian issue is not a matter of humanitarian aid, but a land and state issue, which is a sacred and central Arab issue.
The Israeli state broadcaster reported that the Israeli army would continue its presence in the Gaza Strip until an international force was found to remain there.
