Orhan Oğuz, the director of the beloved detective series Arka Sokaklar, which has been broadcast on Kanal D for many years, for 18 years, has left the series. The cast of Arka Sokaklar includes masters such as Zafer Ergin, Özgür Ozan, İlker İnanoğlu, Ozan Çobanoğlu and Şevket Çoruh. The decision of Orhan Oğuz to leave the director’s chair surprised everyone.
“I’m Surprised, I’m Offended” Statement
Orhan Oğuz, who made a sudden decision to leave the series whose script writing for the new season was undertaken by brothers Ozan Yurdakul and Sinan Yurdakul, said in a statement to journalist Birsen Altuntaş, “I did not leave the series. I am shocked and hurt. I was called to a meeting. I was told that the series would be changing format after 18 years. I didn’t even ask why and left the meeting.” It is also reported that Orhan Oğuz was offered the position of supervisor at the meeting, but the master director responded negatively to this offer.

I have left the series Arka Sokaklar, which I directed for 18 years, I would like to thank my actors and all my teammates.”
