Suicide bombings in Gwoza, a town in the north-eastern Borno state of Nigeria, have caused great pain and concern. A total of 18 people were killed and 30 injured in the attacks, which targeted a wedding, a funeral and a hospital. It was determined that the attacks were carried out by women.
Borno State Emergency Management Agency Director Barkindo Saidu said that children and pregnant women were among those killed in the attack. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, but details of the incident are still being investigated.
