Anthony Nwakaeme, who returned to Trabzonspor after a 2-year hiatus, came to Trabzon to sign the official contract. Nwakaeme, who was welcomed with enthusiasm by the fans, said, “I missed everything so much. I am so happy.”
The Nigerian player, who left the team at the end of the 2021-2022 season, in which Trabzonspor won the championship, was transferred to the Saudi Arabian team Al-Fayha. However, after 2 years, he is getting ready to wear the claret-blue jersey again.
Trabzonspor, which started its transfer efforts quickly before the new season, reached an agreement with 35-year-old attacker Tony Nwakaeme. Nwakaeme came to Trabzon by private plane and was welcomed enthusiastically by the fans at the airport.
Nwakaeme scored 47 goals and made 40 assists in 145 matches with Trabzonspor. He also won 1 Super League, 1 Turkish Cup and 1 Super Cup championship.
Nwakaeme’s statements are as follows: “I am very happy. I haven’t seen the outside yet, but I can guess what Trabzon is like. I missed the support of the fans very much. I talked to Onuachu. He told me that he was very happy and had a good time here.”
Nwakaeme, who was happy to wear the Trabzonspor jersey again, thanked the fans and moved towards the facilities.
