“June 30th Foster Family Day” Celebrated in Diyarbakır
Children and their foster families came together in Diyarbakır as part of the “June 30 Foster Family Day” event. Speaking at the event, Provincial Director of Family and Social Services Aydın Polat stated that 10,000 children are in foster families across Turkey. He emphasized that a total of 8,500 families are foster families.
Meaningful Messages from Deputy Governor Abdullah Çiftçi
Deputy Governor Abdullah Çiftçi, who attended the program held at Diyarbakır Teacher’s House, stated that the essence of civilization is compassion. Farmer congratulated the 63 families who agreed to become foster families and emphasized the importance of taking care of children. “Saving a person means protecting the values of our civilization,” said Çiftçi, drawing attention to the importance of foster families.
Call from Aydin Polat: Let’s Declare Mobilization to Increase the Number of Foster Families
Diyarbakır Family and Social Services Provincial Director Aydın Polat stated that 10 thousand children are in foster care across Turkey and that Diyarbakır is inadequate in this regard. Polat asked the participants to declare mobilization to increase the number of foster families. Polat emphasized that the need for foster families is great and called for support.

As part of the program, children and families had breakfast and had fun with a clown. The event allowed children to have a happy and enjoyable day.
