Kars Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams caught Azerbaijani national KH, for whom a search warrant was issued with a red notice, in a successful operation.
The operation, which was carried out at the Sarıkamış District Gendarmerie Command Mescitli Road Checkpoint on June 29, 2024, took place at around 13.30. Following the stoppage of a bus belonging to an intercity travel company, it was determined that the Azerbaijani national named KH (E-50), who was wanted for the crime of “Deliberate Killing”, was wanted with a red notice.
The suspect was detained by gendarmerie teams upon the instructions of the Sarıkamış Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office and handed over to the Provincial Police Department for extradition procedures.
Kars Provincial Gendarmerie Command officials stated in their statement, “Our efforts to capture wanted individuals in order to ensure the safety of life and property of our people will continue unabated. We are always on duty for the peace and security of our citizens.”
