AA correspondent Hamdan made statements about Israel’s desire to declare UNRWA a “terrorist organization” and its importance in the region. In Israel, bills aiming to declare UNRWA a “terrorist organization” have passed through the Parliament. Hamdan evaluated this situation as part of a broad campaign to dismantle UNRWA.

Emphasizing that UNRWA has been operating for more than 75 years and is the largest humanitarian aid organization of the United Nations, Hamdan stated that approximately 6 million Palestinian refugees benefit from UNRWA services.

Hamdan thanked the countries that supported UNRWA’s humanitarian aid activities in the region, and he particularly highlighted the importance of humanitarian services provided in Gaza. Hamdan stated that UNRWA provided services such as education, health, environmental health, food and cash assistance.

Stating that UNRWA’s humanitarian aid activities have become more difficult due to the deterioration of security conditions and the increasing intensity of conflicts, Hamdan stated that attempts are being made to prevent humanitarian aid.
