While the Israeli army launched an air strike on the town of Hadasa in southern Lebanon, Hezbollah announced that it targeted a military position in Shebaa Farms. It is not yet clear whether there was any loss of life in these attacks.
According to eyewitnesses, Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike on the town of Hadasa in the Bint Jbeil district. The Lebanese news agency NNA reported that the town was also targeted by artillery fire after the airstrike and that the first aid teams were dispatched to the scene.
On the other hand, Hezbollah announced that the Ruwaysa al-Qarn military point located in the occupied Shebaa Farms was directly targeted with missiles. These developments caused increased tension on the border line between Israel and Lebanon, known as the “Blue Line”.
In addition to its attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7, Israel has been experiencing mutual clashes with the Lebanese Hezbollah on its northern border. The Israeli army announced on June 18 that it had approved the “operational plan” against a possible attack, and Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz stated that Hezbollah’s attacks on Israeli territory would not be allowed.
