İbrahim Aydemir, President of the Turkish Parliamentary Journalists and Writers Union, responded harshly to the criticisms coming from some circles against the Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin. Aydemir stated that Tekin is a qualified and patriotic person and emphasized that he successfully carried out his duty at the Ministry of National Education.
Aydemir stated that Yusuf Tekin made significant contributions to the Ministry of National Education not only as a minister, but also as undersecretary and deputy minister. Stating that they appreciated Tekin’s experiences in the field of education, Aydemir said, “Yusuf Tekin is a name that knows the deficiencies closely and has been making efforts to solve the problems for many years.”
Stating that the criticisms against Yusuf Tekin were actually directed against his national and local stance, Aydemir said, “Yusuf Tekin’s stance is a national and local stance. He is a genuine dadaş who emerged from the heart of Erzurum.” Aydemir argued that this national stance of Tekin disturbed some circles.
İbrahim Aydemir stated that they fully supported and defended Yusuf Tekin. “We fully support and defend him. The vast majority of our nation is behind Yusuf Tekin,” Aydemir said, adding that the public has full confidence in Tekin.
