Struggle Message for Gaza Under Fire
The Spokesperson of the Houthis noted that the attacks will continue until the attacks on the Gaza Strip end and the blockade in the region is lifted. This statement caused tension in the region to escalate.
Developments in the Red Sea and International Reactions
Houthis, supported by Iran in Yemen, have increased their attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea in response to Israel’s attacks in Gaza. This situation drew the reaction of countries such as the USA and the UK, as it threatened the security of international maritime trade. The multinational naval task force called “Operation Welfare Guardian”, established on December 18, 2023, went into operation to ensure that measures were taken against the Houthis.
