During Blinken’s meeting with Al Nahyan, they exchanged views on the humanitarian situation and ceasefire in Gaza. Blinken stressed the importance of diplomatic efforts to achieve a ceasefire and release prisoners, which will facilitate sustainable levels of humanitarian assistance in Gaza. He also expressed gratitude for the UAE’s humanitarian support to the people of Gaza.

Blinken and bin Farhan emphasized that the ceasefire in Gaza and the release of prisoners are priorities. Saudi Arabia’s efforts to deliver aid to Gaza were also commended.
