Sakarya Provincial Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) teams provide training to various companies in order to provide effective response in the event of an earthquake. Finally, a team of 23 people working in a company received training in search and rescue during an earthquake.
Within the scope of the training, detailed information was given to the participants about what to do during and after the earthquake, search and rescue techniques and security measures. The theoretical information given by AFAD staff was supported by practical applications, aiming to make the participants more prepared for disaster situations.
These trainings are among AFAD’s important efforts to raise public awareness and increase resilience against disasters. With this type of training, companies enable their employees to respond to disasters more preparedly and effectively.
