The fire, which broke out in the agricultural land in the rural Çaldere District of Bigadiç district, is being tried to be taken under control with the rapid intervention of the authorities. Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department and Balıkesir Regional Forestry Directorate teams were mobilized against the fire, whose clear cause has not yet been determined.

The teams arrived at the scene with 2 planes, 1 helicopter, 10 water tenders, 5 water supply vehicles, 2 first response vehicles, construction equipment and 60 personnel as part of the fire extinguishing efforts. Intense efforts are being made to bring the fire under control with coordinated intervention from air and land.
