Protesters gathered in the Pasaj district in the center of the capital Tunis to condemn the assassination of Palestinian political leader Mohamed Haniyeh. The protest march, which took place on Habib Bourguiba Street, was called by various political parties in the country and the Tunisian Network Against Normalization (with Israel).
Political activist Saladin al-Dawudi, in his speech during the demonstration, said, “We condemn the assassination of Haniyeh in the strongest possible terms. The terrorist acts and assassination policy of the Zionist enemy against all resistance fighters are sheer cowardice.”
The prosecutors carried Tunisian and Palestinian flags to protest Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip. Slogans were chanted and messages of condemnation were given during the protest march, emphasizing that Israel supports terrorism in violation of international law.
