The Palestinians’ Displacement Ordeal
Israeli army spokesman Avichay AdraeeWith the Palestinians living in the eastern part of Deir al-Balah being asked to go to “humanitarian zones”, thousands of Palestinians have once again taken to the roads. Constantly under Israeli attacks and threats, these people have been forced to relive the pain of displacement over and over again.
Palestinians who began to leave Deir al-Balah, taking with them only a few belongings and basic food items, were faced with the uncertainty brought about by forced migration. AdraeHe called on the people in the areas affiliated to the municipalities of Al-Masdar, Al-Maghazi, Al-Harat, Al-Besatin, Al-Ansar, Al-Dimsa, Al-Safa and Al-Sidra to evacuate these areas and move to “humanitarian zones”.
The Israeli army had previously ordered residents of central Gaza, including Maghazi, to leave their homes immediately on August 17. This has made life even more difficult for Palestinians and deepened a humanitarian crisis.
