Nasser Hospital Statement
Nasser Hospital spokesperson Mohammed Sakr, made an urgent appeal to international institutions and the free people of the world at a press conference. Sakr emphasized that the operating room unit in the hospital has come to a serious standstill. He stated that surgical gloves, gowns, gauze and other medical supplies have completely run out, and they cannot even find paper to take notes.
“What kind of security threat do surgical gowns, gauze, thermometers and other supplies pose that they are being prevented from entering Gaza?”Asking questions like, Sakr stated that as health workers, they had to focus on saving women and children in the emergency room in order to fulfill their duty of protecting the Palestinian people due to the lack of medical supplies.
Sakr called on free people around the world to put pressure on Israel to allow the Palestinian people to access Gaza with the medical supplies they need to survive. This call is of great importance so that the international community does not remain indifferent to the health crisis.
