Memories with the Spanish Search and Rescue Team

As a result of the collapse of İsmet Coşkun 3 Apartment in Yavuz Sultan Selim Neighborhood of Nurdağı district of Gaziantep, Elif Yılmaz (6), her mother Leyla Yılmaz and her 2-year-old brother Muhsin Salih Yılmaz were rescued alive after 108 hours. As a result of this disaster, the father lost his life. Elif, who was rescued alive from under the rubble, wanted to have a bag with the emblem of the cartoon character “Tweety” and created an emotional story.

The Yılmaz family, who was invited to the family ceremony held every year by the Spanish Search and Rescue Team (UME) after the earthquake, experienced unforgettable moments for four days in Spain. Leyla Yılmaz described this experience with the following words:
