Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu made statements regarding his meeting with former CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. While speaking at the European Mobility Week event held at the Union of Turkish Municipalities, İmamoğlu made important statements regarding the meeting with Kılıçdaroğlu being on the agenda.
“CHP is disturbing the community”
While answering the questions of journalists, İmamoğlu said the following about the meeting with Kılıçdaroğlu: “I am amazed by the interest in this dinner. We will meet with our previous chairman. The fact that this has turned into such an event disturbs the CHP community .”
“Economy is More Important”
İmamoğlu added the following regarding the meetings that included the former chairmen of the party: “We meet with both our Chairman Özgür Özel and our previous chairmen Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, we drink tea, coffee, and eat. This is in our party culture and humane dialogue “I think what really needs to be wondered about is not the food we will meet with, but what our citizens and our society cannot eat in their meals. “I think the economy and other issues are more important.”
